 |
| CW42® delivers
healthy, clean and pure water from any fresh water source. It removes
or controls the levels of bacteria, dangerous metals and chemicals
and gives you drinking water better than the quality standards set
by the World Health Organisation (WHO). |
 |
| The CW42® utilises
both new technology and proven existing technology. It has five stages
of filtration. These stages interact with one another to provide
performance that is better than the sum of the parts. |
 |
| The CW42® uses
a mixture of new and existing technology to produce top quality drinking
water. This design is not intended to produce ultra pure water. In
all other filters that utilise ceramic filters these have to be put
before the other active stages to avoid bacterial colonisation of
the system. Uniquely, the design of the CW42® allows us to put the ceramic downstream of the redox alloy giving greatly enhanced
removal of some precipitates. No other water purification system
has the same performance in removing bacteria, metals and chemicals
for the price of the CW42®. |

| CW42® -
Stages of Filtration |
 |
| 1. Pre-filter |
 |
| Designed to remove particulate matter such as sand,
rust, algae etc from water to a predefined size, e.g. 5µm. In situations where the water is not extremely dirty, a low capacity disc
pre-filter in the bottom of the OSC cartridge is sufficient. In areas
where very dirty water is to be processed a separate pre-filter before
the CW42® is desirable. |
 |
| 2. Redox Alloy |
 |
| Redox Alloy is an alloy of very high purity copper
and zinc. It removes chlorine and heavy metals from water in exchange for zinc ions. It also causes iron and
aluminium to precipitate. Once in suspension the ceramic filter removes these metals.
(This is one example of the importance of the order of the components
in the CW42®). |
 |
| 3. OSC |
 |
| OSC is our patented activated carbon. It is designed
to have maximum adsorption of metals and minimum adsorption of organics.
The adsorbed metals inhibit bacterial colonisation of the carbon
and the absence of chlorine assured by the preceding redox alloy
assures that no metals will be displaced. |
 |
| 4. Ceramic filter |
 |
| This is a silvered ceramic mechanical filter rated
at 0.3 µm. It removes all pathogenic bacteria and all protozoan cysts (such as Cryptosporidium). Other small particulates (such as suspended iron and aluminium) are also removed.
The ceramic is designed to be user cleanable if necessary. |
 |
| 5. Solid Block Carbon |
 |
| This is activated carbon extruded into a cylinder
to minimise the effects of "channelling". It is designed to remove organic contamination from water. There is no possibility
of colonisation by pathogenic bacteria because it is protected by
the ceramic element and there is no possibility of the re-release
of organics because of the absence of chlorine and metals at this
stage. |

Purification Technology: |
 |
 |
A unique multistage
water filtration system |
 |
Removes all
contaminants (bacteria, chemicals and metals) in water through
elecrochemical processes (reduction, oxidation, adsorption,
adsorption, absorption and mechanical filtration) |
 |
The technology
promises protection from waterborne disease. |
 |
A combination
of existing well proven technologies and unique new developments. |
 |
Contains no
hazardous materials |
 |
All components
are 100% recycable |
|

 |
| Advantages
of the CW42® |
 |
 |
Costs a lot
less than competing systems. |
 |
Can be used
anywhere (even in rural situations) because it requires no
power. Minimum water pressure is 1-1,5 bar. |
 |
Can be adapted
for use in private households, cabins, boats, offices, medical
applications, hospitals, military etc. |
 |
Easy to install
and requires little maintenance. |
 |
You do not need
to keep storage or do heavy lifts to change the filters. |
 |
Does not remove
important trace minerals that the body needs. |
 |
Taste much better
than tap water, bottled water or water from containers. |
 |
Always fresh,
clean and safe water in unlimited amounts. |

Notes: The
CW42® provides a physical barrier to
all pathogenic bacteria. In fact, the system will
stop supplying water before allowing dangerous
levels of bacteria into the drinking water supply. |
If water
containing 100 µg/L of Lead was purified using the CW42® the output water would contain less than 1 µg/L of Lead. |
